A 31-year-old woman was arrested in Longview, TX after posing as a sophomore in high school. Charity Anne Johnson enrolled at New Life Christian School in October 2013 under “Charity Stevens.”
School officials finally realized that her identification that was used to enroll was fake on May 13. “A spokesperson for the school said Johnson was brought in to enroll with a person who was her guardian. She enrolled in the school, giving a date of birth that indicated she was 15,” reports KTLA.
Johnson even duped a woman to be her guardian and allow Johnson to stay in her home. “Tamica Lincoln says back in March, Charity told her she was 15 and needed a place to stay. ‘I sympathized with her, and invited her into my home. I took her in as a child, did her hair, got her clothes and shoes…,’” further reports KTLA. Johnson claimed both her parents were deceased.
Johnson now resides in the Gregg County Jail under $500 bond on multiple charges: failure to identify including giving false and/or fictitious information.
