Gabby Douglas Brings Home USA GOLD!!
Gabby Douglas won the title of the first African-American woman to win the all-around gold medal in women's gymnastics at the 2012 Olympics this past Thursday. She is the first American gymnast to win team and individual all-around gold medals in the Olympics. As the first gymnast on the vault, Gabby earned a score of 15.966, the best out of any of the 23 competitors. Gabby will likely earn $2-3 million in product endorsements over the next 2-3 years, according to Forbes estimates. 16-year-old Douglas will still compete in the individual finals in the balance beam and uneven bars and could win even more medals.
