WIRED ‘TAKE A SHOT’ CONTEST RULES
 
Take a shot to win tickets to the Flyer’s game Tuesday, May 1!
 
1.   HOW TO ENTER AND PLAY
 
a.    Listen to the Chio, Shila & Tingle Morning Show Monday, April 30, 2012 for the cue to call in to register.
 
b.    Register on the Wired Facebook page Monday, April 30, 2012 from 10:00AM through 12 Noon.  A minimum of ten (10) will be chosen at random and notified by phone.
 
c.    Attend the ‘Take A Shot’’ event Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at XFinity LIVE Philly.  Wired 96.5 will draw names at random from all in attendance at 7:30AM to complete a field of 96 participants.  A minimum of ten (10) will be chosen by this method.
 

d.    You may only qualify once.
 
2.  ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
 
a.    This contest is open to all Wired 96.5 listeners who are 18 years of age or older and who are legal US residents and reside in the eight county, greater Philadelphia metro.   Must possess a valid, government-issued ID.
 
b.    You must be able to attend the ‘Take a Shot’ event at XFinity LIVE Philly, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 7:30am until completion at approximately 10:00am.
 
c.    Employees of Wired 96.5, its licensee, its parent corporation, their affiliated entities, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Philadelphia metro area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.  (“Immediate family members" includes parents (including in-laws), grandparents, siblings (including step-siblings), children (including step-children), grandchildren (including step grandchildren) and each of their respective spouses).
 
d.    Only one winner per household is permitted.
 
3.   PRIZES
 
a.    One prize shall be awarded, a pair of tickets to the Philadelphia Flyers game, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 each to the winning man and woman.  
 
b.    Prize shall be awarded at the conclusion of the ‘Take A Shot’ event.  YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO CLAIM THE PRIZE.  
 

c.    Prizes are not transferable.  Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.
 
1.    SELECTION OF WINNERS
 

a.    The ‘Take A Shot’ competition will begin at 7:30am.  On-air registrants who are not present WILL BE DISQUALIFIED and lose all claims at participation.
 
b.    Wired 96.5 will draw at random the ten (10) participants from the audience.  They will continue to draw names until there 96 participants.
 
c.    The Game: participants will attempt to score goals by shooting an egg at a target from an established point.
 

d.    Each participant will have one opportunity to shoot.  If the target is missed he or she will be eliminated from the competition.  Participants will shoot until he or she misses the target.  The participant with the highest number of CONSECUTIVE hits will win.
 

e.    In the event of a tie, Wired 96.5 will draw the winners at random from the high scores to award the prize(s).  In the event that no participant hits the target, the tickets will be awarded by random drawing from all participants remaining.  YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.
 
f.     Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
 

2.    CONDITIONS
 
a.    WARNING: Online listeners to streamed broadcasts may experience a lag in transmissions.
 
b.    Finalists who cannot be contacted within one hour of notification of acceptance will be eliminated and another finalist may be selected in his or her place.  Finalists who fail to respond within an hour of notification waive all claims of participation.
 
c.    Wired 96.5 cannot be held responsible for allegations of telephone malfunctions. Wired 96.5 is not responsible for callers lost or disconnected before completing his or her prize claim.  When a caller is lost or disconnected prior to broadcast, Wired 96.5 can, at its discretion, select the next eligible caller received to win/participate.  Wired 96.5 is not responsible for any lost connections, miscommunications, failed computer or telephone transmissions, equipment or other technical failure or service interruptions.  The station is not responsible for any carrier or server delays or failures.   
 

d.    Wired 96.5 cannot be held responsible for allegations of internet malfunctions. When a caller is lost or disconnected prior to broadcast, Wired 96.5 can, at its discretion, select the next eligible caller received to win/participate.  Wired 96.5 is not responsible for any lost connections, miscommunications, failed computer transmissions, equipment or other technical failure or service interruptions.  The station is not responsible for any carrier or server delays or failures.   
 
 
e.    Taxes and Liability: Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner.  Contest winnings will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service and winners can expect to receive a 1099 tax form for prizes which total more than $600 for the year.  ERV is $150.00.
 
f.     By participating in the contest, contestant agrees to have his or her name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation.
 

g.    By participating in the contest, contestant hereby releases and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Wired 96.5, its licensee, affiliates, parents, assigns, successors, employees, sponsors, agents and all others connected with them and the contest from any and all liability, claims, actions and damages sustained or incurred by participation in the contest and the receipt and use of any prize awarded (if any) through such contest arising in any manner whatsoever.
 

h.    Contest winners will be selected and notified of their prize in the manner announced by Wired 96.5.  Contest winners may be required, in Wired 96.5’s sole discretion, to sign a liability release and a publicity release.  Pursuant to the liability release, the winners will agree to hold Wired 96.5, its licensee, parents, affiliates, assigns, successors and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.  Any person who refuses to sign the release will forfeit any and all prizes.
 

i.      Wired 96.5 will be excused from its obligation to air the contest if its performance is delayed or prevented due to causes beyond its control, including, but not limited to acts of God, public enemies, war, civil disorder, fire, flood, hurricanes, explosion, labor disputes or strikes, and any acts by any governmental authority.
 
j.      Wired 96.5, its licensee, affiliates, parents, assigns and successors are not responsible for failure to conduct or for alterations to the contest due to circumstances beyond the control of any such entity.
 

k.    Decisions of Wired 96.5 management with respect to the contest are final.
 
l.      Wired 96.5 reserves the right to end a contest or amend these rules upon announcement on air or publication at the Wired 96.5 website.
 
m.  Wired 96.5 reserves the right to make changes to the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.
 
n.    Wired 96.5 is not responsible for any prizes or certificates lost or stolen after the winner has claimed them from the station.
 

o.    Prizes are awarded ‘as is’ with no guarantees or warranties as to use.  Acceptance of a prize releases Wired 96.5, its sponsors and advertisers from all liability and claims concerning the prize, its delivery, and its use.
 
p.    Wired 96.5 is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.  Wired 96.5 is not responsible for (i) lost, stolen, mutilated, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete or late entries; (ii) telephone or mobile service outages, delays, busy signals, facsimile transmission errors, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call or from sending a text message (if applicable, message and data rates may apply, and Wired 96.5 is not responsible for any fees incurred by an entrant for this method of entry); (iii) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technical difficulties.
 
q.    By participating in this contest, listeners agree to be bound by these rules.  Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of Wired 96.5.
 

r.     Contestants are required to provide truthful information and Wired 96.5 will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  Wired 96.5 will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and Wired 96.5will also delete any online entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
 

s.    Any materials submitted become the property of Wired 96.5 and will not be returned.
 
t.      No purchase is necessary.  The contest is void where prohibited. Contests and promotions are subject to all federal, state and local laws.
 

u.    Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners are available during regular business hours at the main studio of Wired 96.5 at 555 East City Avenue, Suite 330, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004, or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Wired 96.5.
